The board that started it all

Here is the board that started it all for me, a 5'8" Hollow fish made from Kawaka (native NZ cedar) and Western Red cedar that a friend generously gave me. I had no idea about surfboard design but had some confidence in my woodworking and problem solving skills.  I bought Jack Young's Building hollow wooden surfboards e-book and just started.
Working out how to build a board with limited space and tools was a completely stimulating process. Working my way through this build triggered a desire to make wooden board building easier and opened my eyes to the infinite world of surfboard design and craftsmanship.

Post a comment below with a picture of your first board.
